Weddings

Arrangements for weddings must be made a minimum of six months before the wedding date.  No date for a wedding will be set before the couple has an appointment with one of the parish priests.  Please call the rectory to set up such an appointment (708-349-0903).  One of those getting married or his/her parents must be parishioners at St. Michael to have a wedding here.

Couples must attend a marriage preparation program through the parish or through the Archdiocese.  To view or register for one of the Archdiocesan programs (Pre-Cana Conference or Discovery Weekend) go to www.familyministries.org or call 312-751-8351.  The Archdiocese also provides special Pre-Cana Conferences for older couples getting married, second marriages which involve special issues (e.g. blended families), and other special situations.

Baptisms

Every couple who has not attended is asked to attend a Parish Baptismal Program before they set a date for a baptism.  To schedule attendance at a program or schedule a Baptism, call the rectory (708-349-0903).

Anointing of the Sick and Communion to the Homebound

Individuals may be anointed in the event of any serious illness or before surgery.  One should not wait until a loved one is near death to have him/her anointed.  To schedule an anointing, call the rectory (708-349-0903).  Also, we have a communal anointing Mass twice a year.  The dates will be announced on this website and in the parish bulletin.

We will be glad to have Communion brought to those who cannot get to church.  To make arrangements, call Sr. Marietta at 708-873-4634.

Divorced and Separated

The Archdiocese has many programs for the divorced and separated.  You may view their programs at:  www.familyministries.org

Declaration of Nullity

The parish stands ready to assist those who may wish to apply for a Declaration of Nullity through the Catholic Church.  Call the rectory for details - 708-349-0903.
