Level (grade) 7 continues faith formation for children and their families focusing on a study of the New Testament.. The text is based on the structure of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the spirit of the General Directory for Catechesis.
Concepts: The New Testament records the life, ministry, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The New Testament stories help us to understand the concepts of revelation (the Gospel), Paschal Mystery (death and resurrection), the early Christians (the mission of the Church), the messages of Pentecost (the presence of the Holy Spirit), and the call to be witnesses and disciples of Christ in the modern world. (confirmed believers).
7th Level is a prerequisite for Confirmation preparation that continues in the 8th grade year. Students are encouraged to begin completing the required service component for Confirmation during the summer between 7th & 8th levels.
Prayer and Worship: The Memorare, Act of Contrition, other models of prayer, Reconciliation, the Beatitudes, preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation is initiated.
