Outreach

We are a people of God who reach out to those in need, bringing a tangible sign of the love and presence of Jesus alive and active in our world today. We prayerfully strive to be channels of that love and presence so that Christ can continue to touch and care for all of us through us.

We will respond to the emotional and physical needs of parishioners from birth through death by connecting people with God, with resources, and with each other. We will serve and speak for the poor and powerless, educate parishioners on Catholic social teaching, provide opportunities for social action, and foster awareness that social action is integral to the life of the parish.

To arrange for services, please call St. Marietta Umlor or Cee Cee Van Hecke at the Ministry Office at (708) 873-4634.

For Those Unable to Attend Mass

If you or someone you know is unable to come to mass, the Human Concerns and Service Ministry team can arrange for a visitor.

  • For homebound parishioners, we can arrange for a communion visitor to come to your home once a week or on a different timeframe that fits into your schedule.
  • For those who are currently in the hospital, we have ministers who visit the sick in surrounding hospitals.
  • For those in nursing home or care facilities, we can arrange to have a communion visitor.
  • For the residents of the Lexington Nursing Facility located on Humphrey Drive, we provide rosary services, Mass each month, and Anointing of the Sick twice a year.

To arrange for services, please call St. Marietta Umlor or Cee Cee Van Hecke at the Ministry Office at (708) 873-4634.
