Thanksgiving Coffee
You are invited to begin your Thanksgiving celebration with your St. Michael parish family...
Amid the chaos of long lines at the grocery store, last minute errands to find essential but nearly forgotten ingredients, and creative solutions to first keeping it all fresh and later finding oven space to cook it - likely, we wouldn't give up one minute of our Thanksgiving rituals. Traditions are important and bind us as family. They become the memories we carry through life in our conversation and in our heart. They bring us to the realization that we are, indeed, an extraordinarily blessed people with all that God has given us.
At St. Michael Church, one of the most beautiful expressions of gratitude is the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Thanksgiving morning. We gather as a people of faith and as a parish family to celebrate the goodness the Lord has shown us. Together, we are moved and inspired by the Word and a choir that never fails to lead us to experience the presence of God among us, and we share a holy meal with our faith family. Following our Eucharistic celebration, we gather for refreshments and fellowship in the school gym with fellow parishioners, neighbors and friends.
This is a celebration that is not to be missed! Everyone is invited to participate, whether it is already part of your Thanksgiving tradition or whether you'd like to start a new tradition. We look forward to seeing you and sharing the gift we are to one another.
This event is presented by the Parish Life Commission.
