Shawl Ministry

Hooks and Needles..

Hooks and Needles is a shawl ministry. These shawls are created in prayer, and then prayed over by a talented group of ministers who crochet/knit shawls to be distributed to homebound parishioners or others facing serious illness.

Since 2006, we have donated over 500 shawls and blankets.  This group meets  bi-monthly to pray over the finished shawls, to share patterns, and even to teach knitting and crocheting.  We donate items to parishioners, the Christ Hospital neo-natal unit, the Hines VA Hospital, Advocate Hospice, and soldiers serving overseas.

The next scheduled meeting dates are: 

• December 16th @7:00 pm in the Chapel

• February 17th @ 7:00 pm in the Chapel

• April 14th @ 7:00 pm in the Chapel

• June 16th @ 7:00 pm in the Chapel
