St. Michael Now Offers Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament One Day a Month

Posted: 5/10/2010

Will you come and spend one hour with me?

"Could you not spend one hour with me?" (Matthew 26:40)

The greatest gift to our church is the Real Presence of our Lord in the Eucharist.
The Christ we receive in the Eucharist at the Table of the Lord is the same Christ we meet in our brothers and sisters. That same Christ is present to us as we adore the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Michael will offer Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the First Friday of each month in the Chapel.  Oppportunity to adore will be available for 24 hours from Friday morning through Saturday morning. Upcoming dates:

  • August 6-7
  • Sepember 3-4
  • October 1-2
  • November 5-6
  • December 3-4

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament       after 8:00 AM Mass Friday
Recitation of the Rosary                       8:30-9:00 AM
Divine Mercy Chaplet                           3:00-3:30 PM
Holy Hour in Spanish                            7:00-8:00 PM
Closing Benediction                             8:00 AM Saturday

"Because Christ himself is present in the sacrament of the altar, he is to be honored with the worship of adoration...to visit the Blessed Sacrament is ...a proof of gratitude, an expression of love, and a duty of adoration toward Christ our Lord."

Catechism of the Catholic Church, #1418
